INDONESIA FASHION WEEK 2019; OPENING CEREMONY

The opening ceremony of Indonesia Fashion Week 2019 took place at the Jakarta Convention Center on Wednesday.
The country's biggest fashion event, which this year focuses on Kalimantan, presented designs by stylist Caren Delano and 10 rising designers, who used environmentally friendly materials, such as woven fabrics, songket and batik from various parts of Indonesia, to promote sustainability in the country's fashion industry. 
Indigenous fauna and flora, and shield motives of the Dayak people of Borneo, served as inspiration for the designs, decorations and music highlighted during the exhibition.
Over the next five days, IFW 2019 will be enlivened by hundreds of fashion entrepreneurs and designers participating in various events and showing off hundreds of new creations.
