The 18th BET AWARDS  took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday June 24. Named after the Black Entertainment Television network, the awards celebrate the work of African Americans and other American minorities across the entertainment industry and have been broadcast live on television since 2001. Hosted by actor and comedian Jamie Foxx, this year’s event saw Beyonce walk home with the award for best female R&B artist, while Cardi B won best female hip hop artist. One of the most coveted events among the fashion crowd, there were standout looks all-round as stars made bold fashion statements that celebrated everything from African-Amercian culture to Pride month.
